I was educated at The Taieri High School in Mosgiel and, apart from a period in Christchurch, I have lived and worked in Otago for most of my life. I started work at Countrywide Bank in Dunedin and after nearly a decade with the bank joined FMG, then known as Farmers’ Mutual Group, the specialist rural insurance provider.
After 15 years with FMG, I established my own business Keenan Financial Services Ltd in order to provide my clients with a wider range of products.
My philosophy is to have a strong commitment to rural communities and, over the years I have been involved with dozens of serious life changing claims and events.
I makes sure my clients not only have insurance that is appropriate to their needs, but also that they have an empathetic, understanding and strong advocate come claims time.
